About this event
Everyone is welcome to join us for FREE! Join us for a fun morning of walking, talking, picnicking & photographing in the DeSoto Falls Recreation Area, lead by GPPA member and Blairsville GA resident Karen Clark . This is an easy to moderate hike (approx. 2 miles round trip). We will meet in the DeSoto Falls parking lot at 9:30 AM, walk to and photograph the falls (and anything else interesting along the way), and end the morning with a picnic. Bring your neutral density filter, a sack lunch, drink, sunscreen and your TRIPOD for a fun outing with the Georgia Professional Photographers Association. There is a day use fee of $5 per vehicle. You can download the Recreation.gov app on your smartphone (see below for details) to pay via your phone or bring cash to pay at the park. Also...Campsites are available if you want to stay longer or come early - full details below.
*In the event of rain, this event will be cancelled (let's hope for some really great weather!)
