Lighting Your Way to Stronger Portraits...
Join Alisha Cline, Cr.Photog, CPP and Michael Boatright, CPP as they explain the fundamentals of Light. Regardless of whether you shoot “color” or “black-and-white,” the three most important things to know about light are amount, direction and color.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll help you become your own master of light. Michael will first provide an overview of light and color—primarily visible color—what it is, how it’s perceived, how it’s used artistically, ways that we try to reproduce color, and lots, lots, lots more.
Then, Alisha will help you gain a solid foundation of studio lighting. She'll take the intimidation out of lighting ratios and patterns, setting custom white balance for flash, and proper exposure. You'll gain confidence in seeing short light and broad light with open and close loop patterns, as well as the butterfly pattern. We'll also discuss different modifiers and shooting in different keys.
If you are looking to take your photography to the next level, are pursuing your CPP, or considering declaring your CPP candidacy, this class is for you!
